About the TapeComposition & Design:
• Polyester top surface with a pressure-activated peel-and-stick adhesive backing
• Grey polyester fabric that becomes the visible surface after application
• Nano-adhesion technology creates immediate watertight seal upon contact
• 2" wide x 50' long roll (also available in 4" width)
• Tensile strength: 50 pounds
Key Characteristics:
• NOT UV stable — Must be coated with Liquid Rubber to prevent deterioration
• Pressure-activated — Adhesion begins immediately when pressed into place
• Flexible fabric base — Conforms to corners, seams, and uneven surfaces
• Creates watertight seal before coating is applied
About the Coating (Critical Step)Required Coatings for This Tape:Liquid Rubber makes several coating options specifically designed to work with the seam tape:
• Liquid Rubber Waterproof Sealant (most common general-purpose option)
• Liquid Rubber Foundation Sealant (for basement/foundation and concrete stock tank applications )
• Liquid Rubber MetalSafe Sealant (for metal tanks/roofs)
• Liquid Rubber Color Sealant (if you want color)
How the Coating Works:
• Soaks into the grey polyester fabric of the tape
• Provides UV protection (tape degrades without it)
• Seals the tape completely for full waterproofing
• Water-based formula (no harsh chemicals)
Coverage & Application:
• Apply coating over the tape after it's fully adhered
• Coating soaks through the fabric rather than sitting on top
• One coat typically sufficient for most applications
For Your Stock Tanks:Recommended Approach:
1. Clean tank surface thoroughly and dry completely
2. Apply seam tape over all problem seams/joints
3. Press and rub to activate adhesion (ensure full contact)
4. Wait 24 hours for adhesive to reach full strength
5. Apply Liquid Rubber Foundation Sealant or Waterproof Sealant over the tape
6. Let cure per coating instructions (typically 24-48 hours before water exposure)
Success Factors:
• Customers report the tape "sticks to anything really" when surfaces are properly prepped
• Reviews note the tape is "super sticky" and "forgiving" to apply
• With coating, customers report waterproof seals lasting years
• Some durability issues reported if coating isn't applied or surface prep is poor
Customer Experience:Customers consistently mention that when properly applied with the liquid rubber coating, the system creates a strong, durable waterproof seal that stops leaks on concrete, fiberglass, and poly stock tanks.
