Up for sale is a turn key solar tank aerator deicer which is a solar-powered system that uses an air compressor to bubble air from a diffuser at the bottom of a stock tank/drinker.  This aeration keeps the water from freezing in winter by constantly circulating warmer bottom water and creating a hole in the ice.  With a thermostat control the aerator only turns on during freezing conditions and turns off when the temperature rises above freezing thus saving battery life.  The system will include tw0 100 watt monocrystalline solar panels, solar panel pole mount bracket (2-3/8 OD pipe not included), a compressor with 25 feet air line, and a diffuser, outdoor battery box (to store battery, compressor, charge controller, and  100AH battery, solar charge controller, temperature controller outlet, power inverter dc to ac, and to include solar, battery, and inverter cables and wires.

How it works
  • Solar power: The system uses solar panels to convert sunlight into electricity.
  • Air compression: The electricity powers an air compressor that pumps air through a hose to a diffuser placed at the bottom of the tank.
  • Aeration: The diffuser releases tiny bubbles that rise to the surface, lifting and circulating water from the bottom to the top.
  • De-icing (winter): The constant bubbling and circulation prevents a solid sheet of ice from forming, keeping a hole open for animals to drink

Key components

Solar panels: Capture sunlight to generate power.
Air compressor: Pumps air through the system.
Diffuser: Located at the bottom of the tank, it releases bubbles into the water.
Charge controller: Regulates the power from the panels.
Battery pack: Stores energy, allowing the system to operate at night or during cloudy weather (optional, but included in many “deicer” models).

Benefits
  • Year-round use: Works for aeration in warmer months and de-icing in winter.
  • Off-grid operation: Ideal for remote locations without access to electricity.
  • Improved water quality: Adds oxygen and reduces algae and muck.
  • Livestock health: Encourages water and food intake in cattle, leading to weight gain, and provides a safe drinking source.
  • Eco-friendly: A self-sufficient and environmentally friendly solution.
